By 2023, the city will invest a total of 18 billion won, including 8 billion won from the state budget, 8 billion won from the municipal budget, and 2 billion won from the private sector, to establish a one-stop support system for the entire life cycle from discovering demand for cosmetics companies to technology development and commercialization, leading the export of the K-beauty industry. The plan is to build a foundation.

Chonnam National University Hospital is in charge of the project, and Gwangju Techno Park (Gwangju TP), Gwangju Aged-Friendly Industry Support Center, and Gwangju Cosmetic Industry Promotion Association participate to carry out work by field.
