Moon Seung-yong, a reporter at the Honam coverage headquarters of the Asian Economy, is expected to revitalize exports of the local medical industry in the future by signing large-scale export contracts in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. These companies attended Asia Cosmo Beauty Asia 2018 held in Kuala Lumpur on July 11 and signed a total of 15.21 million dollars in export contracts with foreign companies.

110 Korean companies participated in the exhibition held in Malaysia, and seven other companies, including Maison, had an opportunity to introduce innovative technologies and related products to lead the global optical application beauty industry by setting up a separate "Gwangju Hall" with the support of Gwangju Techno Park's biomedical parts center.

Maison Co., Ltd. signed a total of $15 million in export contracts with Avinetunal Beauty Co., Ltd. for five years and $5 million for three years with T-T-Saus Company Co., Ltd., and confirmed $1.5 million in initial shipments within the second half of this year. Unique Medical Co., Ltd. was also evaluated to have served as a big stepping stone for local companies to enter overseas markets as it signed a $200,000 export contract with Malaysia's "Aio Global" and a $1 million agreement with Hong Kong's "Skinkey Conceptual World." In addition, optical application products such as All That Nature's skin care device and Noah Medical's whole body care device received keen attention.

In particular, with the recent launch of the "Gwangju Medical Industry Cooperative" and the "Gwangju Beauty Cosmetics Industry Promotion Association," which will serve as the center of the medical industry in Gwangju, the bio-medical control tower, it is expected to share infrastructure such as product development and certification.

The fact that local companies were able to achieve such great results is evaluated as the result of Gwangju City and Gwangju Techno Park's continued development of the medical industry through collaboration, and it is interpreted as a result of creating synergy by combining optical medicine and beauty industries.

Gwangju Metropolitan City's Future Industry Policy Officer Lee Jung-seok said, "I know that Gwangju City has an exceptionally well-connected industry-academic association and that there is no place where the industry has grown spontaneously without much national support."
